2025–2026 Compulsory Common Courses Exemption Exam

Exam Date: Thursday, September 25
Exam Time: 14:00
Exam Venue: Classrooms A1 and Z10
Exam Method: Face-to-face

The Exemption Exam will be held for the courses “Foreign Language,” “Basic Information Technologies,” “Turkish Language,” and “History of Atatürk’s Principles and Reforms” for students enrolled in the faculties and vocational schools of our University. Applications for the Exemption Exam will begin on September 22, 2025. Students may submit their applications to their respective units by petition until September 23, 2025 at 17:00.

NOTE:

  1. The Exemption Exam will be conducted in a single session; the duration of each course exam is 30 minutes. Students are not allowed to leave the exam hall during the first 30 minutes of the exam. Participation in the exam is not mandatory; however, students who take the exam and pass will be exempt from the relevant courses. (Students may choose to take the exemption exam for all four courses.)
  2. Each student will take the exam in their own faculty or vocational school. 

Who Can Apply for the Exam?

  1. Students who had previously frozen their enrollment and will start their first year of study this year may apply for the exam.
  2. First-year students who enrolled in our University’s undergraduate and associate degree programs through the 2025 YKS, as well as first-year students admitted in 2024 who have completed the Arabic Preparatory Class of the Faculty of Theology, the English Preparatory Class of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the English Preparatory Class of the Department of International Relations, may apply for the exam.
